Killen Sock Yarn from Black Isle Yarns is here at The Woolly Thistle and we couldn't be happier. Made up of Bluefaced Leister and Mohair and available in a gorgeous array of colors. Killen Sock Yarn is spun in Yorkshire with a high twist and is intended as a sock yarn but it is well suited to shawls and light weight garments! Killen Sock has a lot of drape and holds lace well. It blooms, with a slight halo, on washing and blocking. If you are knitting socks, a tight gauge is recommended for increased strength.
