Ryðrauð / Rusty Cardigan by Steinunn Birna Gudjonsdottir is a simple and beautiful cardigan knitted in the round with a colorwork yoke. It's a timeless design that has been knit by so many Thistlers! The colorwork yoke is a traditional Icelandic textile pattern. The Rusty Cardigan is knit with Plotulopi, unspun Icelandic wool, creating a wonderfully light yet warm layer.

Fun and fast

The price is great on this kit! First time using unspun yarn so I figured a kit would take off some of the decision process angst. The yarn is so interesting and easy to use. I'm using Continental Method and this sweater is zinging along. Good thing since it will still be cold in April when I travel north to Virginia. Rusty cardigan set

It all looks very nice, and the yarn came quickly which was something I appreciate. Right now I’m working on Norwegian sweater so I’m doing my best to get that finished before I dive into this one and I’m really looking forward to getting started
