Ordered the Alpine Bloom Hat kit, as I love, love the design! I didn't realize that it was woolen spun; however, I did not have any problems knitting with it or any yarn breakage whatsoever. There is some vegetable matter in it, but I didn't feel it was excessive and posed no problems for me. The hat knit up beautifully and I was able to get the gauge of the pattern and the fit was perfect. I look forward to wearing this hat this winter and future ones.

My swatch turned out nicely. I am a middle of the road knitter in relation to tight or lose knitting, so I had no issues with breakage. I love the feel of the yarn, the texture and how it fulls after a soak. I also have some of this yarn in my stash for a summer Tee, and have just started knitting it. Sometimes I need a hat for cool but not cold weather, this will be the hat for in between weather. I like having a cotton - wool blend that is easy on my hands to knit and it a nice alternative to a 100 percent wool yarn.
